Cash agrees to extend Lawler inquiry
AAP
The federal government is allowing an independent investigator more time to look into the behaviour of Fair Work Commission vice-president Michael Lawler.
Former Federal Court judge Peter Heerey was given until the end of the year to undertake a review, but he has since received a request from "a party involved in the investigation" for more time, due to a medical condition.
Employment Minister Michaelia Cash has agreed to extend the reporting deadline to February 29, 2016.
