Car stolen by shotgun-wielding carjackers caught on camera doing burnouts in Melbourne street

Victorian detectives searching for three men wanted over a brazen carjacking in Melbourne’s north have released video of the stolen car doing burnouts in a suburban street.

A 50-year-old woman was shopping at a Bell Street supermarket in Pascoe Vale on July 25 when she was confronted by two men, one of whom was brandishing a shotgun.

The terrified woman surrendered the keys to her black Holden Commodore to the men.

One fled in her car and the other in a gold Holden Commodore, which also had a third man inside.

The stolen car could be seen sliding around a roundabout in Alder Street, Langwarrin on August 4.

Neither car has been recovered and police have released images of the men suspected of being involved.

They are described as Caucasian, aged 25-35 and with slim builds.

“Police haven’t given up on this investigation and following these latest breakthroughs, we are closer than ever to catching those responsible,” Detective Senior Constable Mark Walsh said.

“We urge anyone with any information to come forward and help us close this case.”
