Car filmed slamming into pedestrian in Melbourne

Police have released CCTV showing the moment a car veered off a Melbourne road and slammed into a pedestrian.

The white sedan swerved off Franklin Street and collided with a man on June 5, police said.

The force of the crash pushed the man into a shop window.

Police said the man bounced off the bonnet and then ran east along the CBD street.

The sedan then allegedly reversed and appeared to pursue him.

Another man was walking with him at the time of the crash, but was not hit.

The pedestrians have not contacted police since the incident, and officers have appealed for the driver and pedestrians to come forward.
