A car has crashed through the wall of a crèche at a leisure centre in Sydney's south-west and injured a female worker.

Emergency services were called to the crèche area of the Mount Annan Leisure Centre just after 11am today, and found a car stuck in the wall.

A female carer and three children had been inside the crèche at the time of the crash, and were safely removed, police said.

The woman suffered minor leg injuries and the children appear uninjured, but are still being assessed by paramedics.

The car’s 46-year-old male driver was not injured in the crash.

Police believe the car had travelled through a roundabout in the carpark of the Welling Drive centre, before it hit the wall adjoining the crèche.

An investigation has been launched, and the centre will remain evacuated until a structural assessment is conducted.

The driver will also undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
