Car crashes into hair salon, bursts into flames on busy shopping strip in Sydney's south-west
Three people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a hair salon and burst into flames in Sydney's south-west.
The vehicle careered through an intersection and into Hera Hair salon on Beamish Street in Campsie just after 2pm today.
The Nissan hatchback was embedded into the back of the shop when it burst into flames, sending the business alight and thick smoke pouring onto the street.

"I could smell the smoke when I came out, then I heard the bang from the car hitting the shop," a witness told 9News.
A man, thought to be the driver, was hauled out of the salon by two plain-clothes police.
The disoriented driver in his 40s was taken to the Royal Prince Alfred hospital in a stable condition.
Two female workers aged in their 40s were caught up in the chaos and were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

"It was extremely lucky we did not have more patients, and patients with more serious injuries," Dominic Wong from NSW Ambulance told 9News.
It took 30 firefighters to extinguish the blaze and then came the moment they could retrieve the hatchback from the back of the burnt out shop.
Hera Hair has been a Campsie establishment for the past 15 years and the owner told 9News she's just glad there weren't more customers sitting in the salon chairs at the front of her shop.

The owner's daughter said for an already struggling business, this was a devastating blow.
Why the car lost control is now under investigation.
"He was reported to be stopped but its unclear why he accelerated into the shop," inspector Ryan Shannon from Fire & Rescue NSW told 9News.
