Call from Australian unions for minimum wage increase

Unions will call for an increase in the minimum wage for 1.86 million workers in their Fair Work Commission submission.
The Australian Council of Trade Unions will present its case for an increase on Thursday, after the Australian Industry Group called for a 1.6 per cent increase on Wednesday.

The AI Group's submission equates to an increase of $10.50 a week in the national minimum wage.
