Missing bushwalker in northern NSW located safe and well
A bushwalker who was reported missing in northern NSW has been located safe and well.
A search was initiated in New England National Park at Darkwood for 43-year-old Alexander James after he went missing during a three-day hike with three friends on the weekend.

Police said on Friday night, the first evening of the hike, Mr James went off alone to look for his own campsite.
His friends couldn't find him the next morning and they assumed the experienced bushwalker had gone ahead on his own.
However, when Mr James failed to show up at a meeting point at Cool Creek Crossing yesterday afternoon, they raised the alarm.
This afternoon, officers found a message on a sign along Horseshoe Road that believed to be from Mr James.
As they returned to the track, they found him safe and well.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance and remind people to be prepared if they go bushwalking.
