Burst water main causes traffic delays on Eagle Street in Brisbane CBD

A burst water main has caused major traffic delays in the Brisbane CBD.
The main burst about 5.30am and water gushed over Eagle Street, forcing authorities to close the road.
One lane has since reopened, but traffic is still moving slowly.

Queensland Urban Utilities said the main was built in 1908, and have blamed roots from large trees nearby for the burst.
