Burst pipe floods bank in Melbourne’s CBD

Firefighters have attended a bank in Melbourne's CBD where a burst watermain flooded the first floor. (9NEWS)
A burst water pipe has flooded the ground floor of a bank in Melbourne’s CBD this morning.
Authorities believe a worker may have clipped the pipe during construction work.

Water flooded the building and the street outside as firefighters attended the scene on Collins Street.
A spokesman for the Melbourne Fire Brigade said firefighters were only on the scene very briefly to assist with fixing the burst pipe.
