Burke attacks rent rise predictions
AAP
Labor has slammed BIS Shrapnel economic modelling suggesting its proposal to curb tax perks for property investors could lead to rent increases of between two and 10 per cent.
"This is not modelling and it is not analysis of Labor's policy. There are a series of presumptions in this document that are clearly different to Labor's policy," Opposition finance spokesman Tony Burke told Sky News.
The opposition wants to limit negative gearing to new homes and wind back capital gains tax concessions.
