Seven teens in hospital after buggy rolls in Sydney's west

Seven people have been taken to hospital in after a buggy overturned on a property at Mulgoa, near Penrith in Sydney's west.

NSW Ambulance said the all-terrain buggy had rolled at about 6pm.

There had been 10 people on board, all aged between 16 and 18.

Two females and one male were taken to taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition with head injuries, two by road and one by helicopter.

One patient was taken to Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries.

Two females were transported to Nepean Hospital, also with minor injuries.

One male with minor injuries was taken to Mt Druitt Hospital.

The incident took place at about 6pm. NSW Ambulance

NSW Ambulance Inspector Nathan Sheraton said the incident had the potential to be "far worse".

"It appears the buggy has flipped and thrown them clear of the vehicle, with some of them heavily impacting the ground," he said.

"I'm sure the telephone call that their parents received would have been horrific for them."
