The federal government has given its strongest signal yet the budget will be handed down on May 10 as scheduled.
Treasurer Scott Morrison said his first budget must ensure investment flows towards stronger economic growth and employment,
"That will be the focus of the budget on May 10," he told parliament on Tuesday.
