The murder of a sister and brother in a Perth apartment has taken a further tragic twist as police allege now they were killed 24 hours apart.

Maree Collins, 66, was a woman of "deep faith", who was well-known in the local Christian community.

Her 27-year-old neighbour is the only suspect after she was found dead at her Victoria Park apartment.

Detectives believe Ms Collins was killed with a knife.

Investigators say when Ms Collins' brother hadn't heard from her in more than 24 hours, he went to her apartment.

When the 62-year-old man discovered her body, he too was killed, police allege.

On Easter Sunday, family members discovered Ms Collins' body and alerted police, who found the brother's body in the apartment.

Police now believe the pair were killed 24 hours apart. 9News

Ms Collins' pastor, Mark Edwards, said she came to service every week without fail.

Too upset to speak on camera, he said Ms Collins was an incredibly caring person who loved God and loved people.
