Rapper 50 Cent has shown his new African mansion, only two months after filing for bankruptcy.

The rapper uploaded the video to his Instagram page on Sunday, showing builders working on a large swimming pool in the mansion.

"My crib is almost finished in AFRICA. I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever," the post read.

He didn't say where in Africa he was building the crib, adding that he would "explain later".

"I got a good life man," he said.

The 40-year-old filed for bankruptcy in the US in July after being ordered to pay $7.1 million in damages for posting a sex tape online to embarrass rap rival Rick Ross.

The woman in the tape, Lavonia Leviston, is the mother of Rick Ross's daughter.

The entertainer, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, said that filing for bankruptcy was a "strategic business move".

He reportedly made more than $135 million from the sale of Vitamin Water to Coca-Cola in 2007, after joining the brand as an investor.

He has sold more than 22 million albums, according to The New York Times.
