Brisbane rower dies after going missing on Wednesday

The body of a rower who went missing on the Brisbane River for more than 24 hours has been found.
Mark Roome, 63, was rowing with two friends when they realised he had capsized at about 4.40am on Wednesday.
They did not see the experienced rower enter the water.

Police launched a wide-scale search on water and on land to find Mr Roome.
Sadly, his body was found near the Orleigh Park at West End just after 6pm yesterday.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
