Brisbane kidnapping, man escapes to NSW

Queensland police will extradite a man who kidnapped a 22-year-old woman from Brisbane's south.

The woman was allegedly held against her will, driven to several locations, assaulted and threatened with further violence by the 50-year-old man on Monday.

He was arrested in Grafton in New South Wales on Tuesday, and will face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The victim was released around 1.30pm on Tuesday and taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
