Notorious Finks bikie boss Brent Reker has been found dead in a Victorian prison.

Emergency services were called to Ravenhall Correctional Centre yesterday afternoon after the 35-year-old was found unresponsive by staff and could not be revived, dying at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Department of Justice spokeswoman on Friday confirmed an investigation into his death will be carried out.

"As with all deaths in custody, the coroner will investigate and formally determine the cause of death," she said.

The heavily-tattooed bikie boss was on remand facing charges over an alleged bashing in September 2018.

A court previously heard Reker allegedly stormed a Hampton Park home with a group of other Finks bikies and bashed a man with a baseball bat and tyre iron before threatening to kill the man's family if they called the police.

He had been enlisted by Tara Egglestone - also charged over the incident - who believed the man had posted naked photos of her online.

Reker was due to reappear in the County Court on June 29, 2020 for directions hearing, alongside Eggesltone and co-accused Joshua Goss, Nathan Martinow, Corey Wanakore-Moeke and Pierce Williams.
