Brand Highway crash: Two killed in head-on collision after truck 'blew tyre'

Major Crash Detectives are investigating after a head-on crash killed two people near Badgingarra, 205 kilometres north of Perth.

Police said the truck and car collided on the Brand Highway about 11.30am today.

9NEWS has been told the truck had a tyre blow-out and crossed onto the wrong side of the road.

The car's driver and passenger died at the scene as the vehicle burst into flames.

They are yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, the truck driver escaped with minor injuries and was taken to Moora Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
