Former Labor minister David Bradbury has secured a job at the OECD as head of its tax policy and statistics division based in Paris.

Mr Bradbury, who was assistant treasurer in the Gillard government, lost his western Sydney seat at the September election.

Mr Bradbury said he was "absolutely delighted" by the appointment, a three-year term at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development that will start in April.

The role will allow him to contribute to the global public policy debate and pursue his passion for tax policy, he said in a statement on Tuesday.
