Boy pulled from water unconscious at South Bank

A young boy has been resuscitated after being pulled from the water at Brisbane's South Bank Parklands unconscious.

The boy was rescued about 3pm as New Year's Eve revellers flocked to the popular spot.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed a patient was transported to Queensland Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

Surf Life Saving Queensland said the incident was a timely reminder to always supervise children in the water.
