Boy poses with police officer who saved his wrestling belt from Louisiana floodwaters

A boy from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been photographed pretend-wrestling with a police officer responsible for rescuing his wrestling belt from a flooded house.

Photos of Kenny Robertson Jr posing with Corporal Doug Chutz of the Underwater Investigative Unit was posted to the Baton Rouge Police Department Facebook page yesterday.

“This cute little fella was so happy that our Underwater Investigative Unit was able to save his wrestling belt… he began to show Corporal Doug Chutz the moves that earned him that belt,” the caption reads.

“It wasn't long before Corporal Chutz had to tap out!”

The post has since received thousands of reactions and shares, with many Facebook users celebrating it as an example of positive relations between local police and the black community.

At least 11 people have died and 40,000 homes have been impacted after severe flooding swept south-eastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
