Klara Donovan had just picked up her little boy from school, with one daughter also in the back seat, when their van was rear ended at the intersection of Dixon and Mandurah roads in East Rockingham.

It was sent smashing into a bus and spun into two more cars.

"Everything went white. All the airbags had deployed around me," she said.

"I called out 'everyone okay?'

"Jackson was quiet and I was honestly so confused as to why he didn't answer until I saw him.

"We've been told he died on impact."
