Missing boy, 8, found in Cairns

An eight-year-old boy missing overnight in Cairns has been found safe.
Police began searching for the boy on Saturday morning after he was reported missing from his home in the northern suburb of Smithfield on Friday night.
A police spokeswoman told AAP the boy was found safe and well at a nearby house on Saturday morning.
