Boy, 12, slams into pole in Qld river

A boy has been injured after he came off a ski tube being towed by a motor boat, slamming into a signage pole in the Maroochy River on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
The boy, 12, was travelling about 20km/h when he crashed in the river at Maroochydore, at 10.45am (AEST), the Queensland Ambulance Service says.
He suffered shoulder and leg injuries and was taken to the Nambour Hospital for treatment.
