A truckie who gave three days notice to take his daughter to a specialist appointment when she was 10-weeks-old said he was told by his boss that it was insufficient notice.

The truckie told A Current Affair he was needed at just one appointment and he thought he had given plenty of warning.

He said he was told ‘tough luck’, leaving him with no choice but to take the day off.

That's when the text messages and phone calls started.

“Ur (sic) not going mate, it’s not up for negotiation,” the boss sent to him, reported A Current Affair.

The night before the appointment, the boss then reportedly sent a text with a long list of the next day’s work.

After a series of messages back and fourth, he also allegedly threatened the young dad in a phone conversation.
