Bomb found at Canberra school: police

Police have defused a bomb found on the grounds of a Canberra school.

Staff at the Caroline Chisholm School found the explosive device under a tree near the school's carpark on Monday morning.

Members of the ACT Police bomb squad rendered it safe.

No students were around because it is still school holidays.
