Usain Bolt has won a bet at Oaks Day after a tip from jockey Michelle Payne to back her in the first race.
The sprint champion, sporting a white suit, arrived at Flemington racecourse armed with tips from the Melbourne Cup winning jockey, excited for his first race day in Australia.
Bolt said Payne gave him some good betting advice.
"She's told me she's a sure win so I'm going to put down some money on Race 1," he told reporters.
Payne was first across the line on horse Tavi Bay, a year after her history-making Melbourne Cup win riding the Prince of Penzance.
Betting wasn't the only thing the ice-cool Jamaican was looking forward to on Ladies' Day.
"I'm excited about seeing the different hats, the different everything - and the beautiful ladies," he said.
However the world's fastest man was under no illusions he could match it with the champion racehorses out on the track.
"I'm no chance," he said with a chuckle.
Crowds continue to build at Flemington ahead of the $1 million VRC Oaks for three-year-old fillies.
