Man charged with murder after woman's body found in Tweed Heads
A man has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was discovered at a Tweed Heads home.
Emergency services were called to the Lakes Drive property about 5.50pm Wednesday following a concern for welfare report.
Officers from the Tweed Police District arrived to find the body of a woman, who is yet to be formally identified. She is believed to be aged in her 60s.

Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
Inquiries led officers to a 25-year-old man with injuries to his hands on Kennedy Drive, Tweed Heads West.
The man was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital under police guard for treatment.
After he was discharged, he was charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
