Body found in Victorian shed

A body has been found in a burnt-out shed in southwestern Victoria.

Neighbours reported a fire in the backyard of a Portland house after 7.30pm on Thursday.

Firefighters found a body inside the shed and a crime scene guard has been posted at the property overnight.

Portland Crime Investigation Unit detectives and an arson chemist will investigate the fire on Friday morning.

The body has not yet been identified.
