Body found 'wrapped in cloth' in Melbourne tennis club car park by jogger
Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances of a body found wrapped in cloth in Melbourne.
A jogger found the body, wrapped in what police believe could be bedding, in the car park of a Dallas tennis club at 1.30pm on Friday.
Police on Friday night doorknocked surrounding homes and searched for clues in a nearby park.
"The manner in which the body has been wrapped suggest that somebody else is involved, the body is near bushes but it does not appear to be any effort in concealing the location," Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen McIntyre told reporters in Dallas.
The gender, identity and cause of death has yet to be determined.
Detectives are also investigating a fatal stabbing in Port Melbourne on Friday. They have arrested a 44-year-old man over the death but charges are yet to be laid.
