Body found by road on Qld island

A man's body has been found beside a road on Bribie Island north of Brisbane.
Police are investigating if the elderly man died as a result of a car crash in the area.
Officers were called to the scene shortly before 3am (AEST) after the body was found.

There'd been a crash in the same area at the same time, with a car hitting a pole on the Sylvan beach esplanade at Bellara.
