Woman's death treated as suspicious after couple found dead at Gold Coast property

Neighbours and friends are mourning the deaths of a Gold Coast couple found dead at a Burleigh Waters property yesterday.

Police arrived at the home on Dotterel Drive about 4.50pm yesterday afternoon.

9NEWS understands friends found the body of 46-year-old Dave Lee inside the home, while the body of 36-year-old Mel Horner was found in a car at the property.

Police are treating Ms Horner’s death as suspicious however Mr Lee’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

Neighbours and friends were visibly upset outside the home yesterday.

Officers are continuing to investigate, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
