Bob Katter calls for iron ore inquiry

Independent MP Bob Katter has called on parliament to support an inquiry into iron ore.
The Queensland MP's private bill introduced to the lower house on Monday would set up a commission of inquiry to look at the impact scaling back production had on miners and governments.
The Abbott government has already ruled out an inquiry, to the chagrin of Fortescue Metals chair Andrew Forrest and independent senator Nick Xenophon, who is considering his options for a separate inquiry through the upper house.
