BMW driver charged after allegedly hitting pedestrian while four times over the alcohol limit in Sydney
A BMW driver has been charged with high-range drink driving after a pedestrian was struck in Sydney in the early hours of this morning.
About 3am a pedestrian was crossing the road at the intersection of Ultimo Road and Quay Street in Haymarket when he was hit, allegedly by a white BMW.
The man was treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The BMW driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested after allegedly refusing to take a breath test.
He was taken to Day Street Police Station, where a breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.216 – more than four times the legal limit.
The man was charged with driving with a high range PCA and negligent driving.
He was refused bail to appear before Central Local Court today.
