Emergency services have found a missing canyoning party in the Blue Mountains, including a seven-year-old child, who failed to report in yesterday evening.

NSW Ambulance received a call at 9am (AEDT) after the party, which is believed to be made up of four adults and a seven-year-old child, failed to report in on Sunday evening.

Emergency services located the group at 11am in bushland, with the rescue effort continuing near Mt Wilson.

Ambulance Special Operations Team (SOT) and NSW Police rescue are now on-scene assessing the patients.

Five paramedic units, including three SOT paramedics are involved in the effort and are being assisted by two Polair helicopters.

The incident comes after a similar rescue effort in Katoomba over the weekend, where a man was injured while canyoning, requiring a major rescue effort.
