Vintage plane lands upside down on regional NSW airport runway
A vintage biplane has crashed at a New South Wales airport, landing upside down on the runway while attempting to touch down.
The pilot and the passenger, a man and a woman in their 50s, escaped without any significant injuries.
Firefighters, paramedics and airport staff were called to the scene at Albion Park in the the state's Illawarra region when fuel spilled onto the runway after midday today.

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said that 70 litres of plane fuel had spilled onto the runway.
HAZMAT firefighters attended the scene, and along with airport staff, the fuel spill was isolated to prevent further hazards,
Both the pilot and passenger were treated at the scene by NSW ambulance.
The passenger, a woman in her 50s, was transferred to Shellharbour Hospital in a stable condition for further observation.
The pilot, a man in his 50s, also sustained no injuries.
The cause of the upside-down landing is not yet known.
