Bindi Irwin reduced to tears by image of father Steve on Dancing with the Stars

Australian actress and presenter Bindi Irwin has broken down after her performance on Dancing With the Stars ended with the surprise appearance of an image of late father Steve Irwin.

The photo of ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin, which appeared on a stage screen after the young dancefloor queen completed a freestyle dance titled "Footprints in the Sand", sparked a very raw reaction from teen.

Embracing dance partner Derek Hough - responsible for masterminding the entire process - Bindi began crying again once she was backstage, saying on camera that the whole experience had changed her life.

Her spellbinding performance won her a perfect 30 out of 30 score and left judges and audiences alike in tears.

Bindi has now made the top three for tomorrow's finale, which will see her competing against Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter and US army hero Alek Skarlatos.

She has since written two emotional posts on Instagram, one featuring the last photo taken of her family before the death of her TV personality father in 2006.

“Crocodile Hunter” Irwin died aged 44 while filming for his daughter’s TV program, Bindi the Jungle Girl, in 2006, after receiving a stingray barb to the heart.
