Bill Shorten re-elected to lead Labor

Bill Shorten has been re-elected as Labor leader after no other contender put their name forward for the position.
Chief opposition whip Chris Hayes said Mr Shorten's was the only name when nominations closed at 5pm on Friday.

He said the nomination was accepted and Mr Shorten has been officially declared leader of the Federal Parliamentary Labor Party.
