Boy, 5, dies after being pulled unconscious from popular Sydney swimming hole
A five-year-old boy has died after he was pulled unconscious from a popular swimming spot in Sydney's west.
The boy was pulled from the water at Bents Basin near Wallacia about 5.15pm yesterday.
Bystanders performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over.

The boy rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
Police attended and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
