Perth murders: 'Spread sunshine everywhere': School mourns death of Charlotte Harvey

It has been revealed the man accused of massacring his family in Perth was looking after his three young daughters the night they died.

New details have emerged about the events leading up to the tragedy, where Anthony Harvey, 24, is accused of killing Mara Harvey, 42, their three-year-old daughter Charlotte, twin two-year-old girls Alice and Beatrix and Ms Harvey's mother Beverley Quinn, 74.

Harvey allegedly murdered his wife as she returned home from work, filling shelves at night at Coles.

It comes as Charlotte’s teacher told 9NEWS about the “popular little girl who had lots of friends.”

“Every day she would arrive (at school) there was big smiles and laughter,” Shirley Oswald said.

“Standard joke was she was going to grow up to be an ambulance.

“Big bubbly personality, beautiful big singing voice which is where the ambulance joke used to come from.

“Spread sunshine everywhere. Same with the family, they were exactly the same, always smiley and happy and cheery and so glad to see you.

“She was a popular little girl had lots of friends.”

Charlotte attended pre-kindy at Ballajura’s Kingfisher Park pre-school and her young friends are now at a loss.

“They’re all asking where she is and it’s so senseless, it’s too hard to process especially in my field where those children are so precious and to have them taken away is so unfair,” Ms Oswald said.

Ms Oswald is now asking for relatives to get in touch so they can hand over some precious mementos belonging to Charlotte that were left at the school.
