Beau Lamarre-Condon at centre of civil claim over earlier Taser arrest

The former police officer accused of murdering Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies is the focus of a new court claim over an arrest five years ago.

Kris Lovelock was chased down and Tasered by Beau Lamarre-Condon at a park in Paddington in June 2020.

9News can reveal Lovelock has launched a civil claim over the arrest against the state of New South Wales and is seeking compensation.

Lamarre-Condon's bodycam footage shows Lovelock being told to get down before the officer Tasers him a number of times as he lies on the ground.

Lovelock was convicted for a range of offences, including intimidating a police officer, but was later acquitted of all but one in a district court appeal.

The arrest in 2020 raised questions about Lamarre-Condon's conduct.

An internal police probe found that Lamarre-Condon's actions that day were lawful.

Now, NSW Police could be forced to defend the officer's actions in the civil court.

Almost four years later, Lamarre-Condon was charged with entering a home in Paddington and murdering Baird and Davies with his police-issued gun.

He was later dismissed from the force.
