Alleged drunk driver charged after car ripped in half in Sydney crash
Two drivers have miraculously walked away from a crash that split a car in half and crushed another in Sydney's north-west.
A Mazda was being driven down Old Northern Road at Baulkham Hills about 7pm yesterday when it collided with another car.
The impact was so intense that the Mazda was ripped in half, with the back seat of the car and boot flying into a nearby yard and other parts of the vehicle ending up another 50 metres down the road.

The second car involved had the front bonnet crushed. The driver of that car was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The 18-year-old driver of the Mazda was not injured and allegedly returned a positive breath test at the scene, NSW Police said.
He has been charged with a mid-range drink driving offence and will face court next month.

Police are asking anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam footage of the crash to contact Crime Stoppers, as investigators try to understand the exact circumstances of the crash.
Police say speed played a factor in the crash.
