Man slashes victim's face with cocktail glass in random bar attack
Metropolitan Police have released the video as they appeal for information on the bizarre incident in London’s Leicester Square about 1.30am last Christmas Eve, the Daily Mail reports.
The 38-year-old victim was left bloodied and suffered cuts to his nose and left eyebrow. He was taken to a central London hospital, where he was later discharged.
Officers are now urging witnesses to come forward and are looking for the alleged assailant, who appears on the video. He is described by police as dark-skinned, in his late 20s, 6ft tall and was seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt and light coloured trainers on the day.
Detective constable Edward Colenbrander said the "shocking incident" had left the victim "very distressed".
No arrests have been made and police investigations were continuing.
