Bali shooting victim's wife says he was 'the best dad in the world'

The widow of a Melbourne man gunned down in Bali while on holiday earlier this month has remembered him as "the best dad in the world", in a hand-written statement released today.

Three men have been charged over the alleged murder of Zivan Radmanovic, who was shot in a Canggu villa on June 14.

His family's legal team says his wife, who was in the villa at the time, has been getting counselling and is "still in shock".

"The victim's wife is not coping very well with the tragedy," lawyer Sary Latief said.

"[She] doesn't have the appetite to eat, she's lost a lot of weight, she looks very pale, she's really worried, wants to go home.

"She has not been able to enjoy Bali where she was supposed to celebrate her 30th birthday.

"Even until today she's unable to really communicate and talk about what's going on."

The woman's mother and brother have travelled to Indonesia to support her, Latief said.

"That night they went out to dinner around about 7 o'clock, they came back a little before 11... the husband and wife were in their own room and they were about to go to sleep," she said.

"Then very quickly, as we've already explained, the shooting happened.

"She just saw a black helmet and a glimpse of the jacket and that's it. It was very fast."

"According to an autopsy carried out by forensic doctors, Radmanovic died from gunshot wound on the left side of the chest," Latief said.

Radmanovic's wife released a handwritten statement thanking Indonesian police and requesting privacy.

"My husband was a loving man and the best man in the world," she wrote.

"Now I have the unimaginable [task] of going home to tell (the children) he is no longer here.

"Please respect our privacy so we can grieve his loss."

Radmanovic's friend, Sanar Ghanim, 34, was also shot and beaten in the attack.
