Video shows passengers scrambling to escape sinking tourist boat in Bali
Terrifying footage shows people scrambling to escape a sinking tourist boat in Bali in the waters off Nusa Lembongan.
The Tanis Express, which charters tourists to Lembongan and Penida, began to take in water after it was struck by large waves shortly after departing Lembongan Village for Sanur yesterday afternoon.
The boat has a capacity of 125 people and was carrying 89 at the time of the incident, including 77 tourists.

Vision showed the boat leaning and sinking as passengers either jumped into the water or retreated to the top. Witnesses in a nearby boat rushed to help them escape the sinking vessel.
Nicola Wood, who was on the boat with her children, said the boat took in water very suddenly and left everyone on board panicked.
"People smashed windows to escape," she wrote in a social media post.
"Most people back on shore before life raft and life jackets were thrown out - locals and smaller boats rescued kids and those out first.

"We made it out, jumped into the water and swam to a nearby glass-bottom boat that took us back to shore."
A rescue team was able to safely evacuate all the passengers, and no injuries or deaths were reported.
The Tanis eventually sank to the seabed.
According to local reports, the boat had only been operating for about three months.
