NSW Premier Mike Baird has confirmed Mike Gallacher has resigned as police minister after allegations he acted corruptly.
"Today, I have accepted the resignation of the Minister for Police, The Honourable Mike Gallacher, following allegations made at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC)," Mr Baird said in statement on Friday.
He said he made "no judgment" on the allegations.

"However, it could take considerable time for them to be resolved, and this would constitute an unacceptable distraction for my government," the premier said.
"We need to be completely focused on delivering results for the community."
Mr Baird will address the media at 3:45pm in Canberra.
