A man who allegedly poured a thermos of hot liquid on a baby in a Brisbane park is still at large a week later as dozens of officers work to find him.

A woman and her baby were enjoying a picnic at Hanlon Park in Stones Corner about midday on Tuesday last week when they were approached by a stranger.

The man poured hot liquid on the nine-month-old boy and fled, police said.

The boy's mother has called on anybody with information to come forward.

"I'm just having flashbacks all the time about what happened," the mother said.

"I don't know who would think that is OK to harm a little, innocent baby."
