Australia's biggest play and entertainment centre to open in Queensland next month

Australia's biggest indoor play centre is about to be opened to families and visitors in Queensland, featuring a ninja warrior course, rock climbing walls and a 300-seat cafe.

9News has been granted an exclusive first look at the Area 51, which has been transformed from an old Bunning's Warehouse in Logan, south of Brisbane.

The centre covers over 10,000 square metres with a café and other businesses set to transform the new entertainment precinct.

The converted warehouse is set to be the biggest play centre in Australia.  Nine

The centre will feature 10 party rooms, an ice skating rink and classrooms for after school activities.

"Dancing classes, tuition classes, cooking classes, bouldering classes," operations manager Elena Neale said.

"Trampoline park, climbing park, ninja warrior course.

"There is nothing like this out there at the moment."

The centre is set to open July 8 next month and can be enjoyed by all ages from toddlers to teens.

Neale confirmed there will also be some adults only nights and events.

The venue features an ice rink, educational rooms, trampoline and climbing area. Nine

"It's a combination of indoor play centre, sports centre and recreation centre," she said.

"It has a resident cafe, a dumpling store and two other tenancies coming on board."

She added an air coaster ride will transport kids above the dining area.

"Adults and children will love flying over the top of all the diners while they eat," Neale said.

The second stage of the project, an outdoor movie theatre will begin construction in December and will be host to movie nights, live music and an Asian night market.

"The children and the adults will have an amazing time," Jim Perry from MJ Playgrounds said.
