Figures show Australians are travelling now more than ever – how does your postcode fare?

Terrorism and economic concerns haven’t put off Australians from travelling overseas, as new figures reveal we're traveling more than ever.

Flight Centre's first ever 'postcodes and postcards' report reveals 59 percent of the population flew internationally last year.

The most popular month to travel is December and the average holiday is 15 days.

Europe remains among the most popular destination, with Sri Lanka an emerging destination.

“Aussies are still travelling in their droves to Europe. They love Europe despite some of the awful events that happened over there in the last year or so,” Tom Walley from Leisure Brands told 9NEWS.

Inner Brisbane residents were the nation’s biggest travelers in 2016, up to 65 percent.

North Sydney was second, with 25 percent of residents travelling.

The data also revealed Australians go on more cruises than any other country on the planet.

New South Wales and Queensland residents took the top spot for cruising.
