Australian doctor features Islamic State Health Service video

The latest video believed to have been released by ISIL features a doctor with an Australian accent walking through a hospital.

Maintaining the militant group's high production values, the video, which runs almost 16 minutes, promotes the Islamic State Health Service, or ISHS.

Apparently filmed in Raqqa General Hospital in Syria, the video featured several supposed medical professionals discussing public healthcare in the Caliphate.

One seemingly-Australian man identifies himself as Abu Yusuf, a paediatrician.

"I saw this as part of my jihad for Islam to help the Muslim Ummah (community) in the area that I could, which was the medical field," Yusuf, who has only the sparse beginnings of a beard, says.

"When I got here I was very happy that I'd made the decision and I was a little bit saddened at how long I'd delayed it.

"I wish I'd come a lot sooner."

Yusuf is shown tending to infants in what looks to be a very clean and well-equipped hospital.

"It's a good system that they're running here," he says.

"Everything lived up to my expectations completely

"Please consider coming, please don't delay, like I said it's not equipment that we're lacking, it's truly just the staff."

The video is yet to be verified as official but it is being circulated on social media accounts known to be linked to ISIL.

ninemsn attempted to contact the Department of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, and Immigration and Border Protection Minister Peter Dutton, but all were unavailable for comment.
